Donations Needed to Enable Essential Repairs to the Folly Roof

Wednesday, 25 July 2018

The North Craven Building Preservation Trust urgently needs donations to enable us to carry out essential repair work to The Folly.

The work, estimated to cost around £25,000 is to repair the roof of the North Range of The Folly, which is in a poor state and is in need of urgent repair and in some areas, replacement.

The leaky roof could potentially create issues of damp within the building, which houses the Museum of North Craven Life and is Settle's only Grade 1 listed building. The Folly is an iconic landmark in tracing the development of Settle over 340 years, since it was built around 1675.

All donations, private or corporate will enable this essential work to be undertaken.
